With an OBC rank of 16995 in JEE Main, you have a good chance of getting admission to several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for the B.Tech Civil Engineering program. Some of the NITs where you are likely to get a seat with this rank include:NIT Rourkela NIT WarangalNIT DurgapurNIT Surathkal NIT RaipurNIT Kurukshetra The exact allotment will depend on factors like the number of seats available, the competition, and the cut-offs in the particular year. But with a rank in the range of 16,000-20,000, you should be able to secure admission to a good NIT for Civil Engineering

The Choice between civil engineering and mechanical engineering depends on personal interests and career goals. Civil engineering focuses on infrastructure development, construction and environmental sustainability. Mechanical engineering deals with machines, manufacturing processes and design. Both fields offer a variety of career opportunities and are important in different industries. Consider factors such as passion, aptitude and labor market demand when making your decision. Ultimately, the best field is the one that matches your interests and career aspirations.

No, there is no need to separately apply for Kakatiya University BTech programme. Candidates only need to register for the TS EAPCET exam and counselling before the respective deadline. While registering for the counselling, candidates must carefully place the sought course of Kakatiya University at the top of their college preference list. If the candidate manages to meet the required cut-off, they will be allotted a seat for pursuing BTech at Kakatiya University.
