You can choose to study BA ( not necessarily) if you plan to appear for IAS. It is more important to choose the correct combination in alignment with your optional subject for the IAS exam. Studying subjects like History, Geography and any one language ( English would be more beneficial) would make IAS preparation more easy and impactful. You can join any coaching along with your graduation for 3-4 years. It will enhance your preparation. You can also take online coaching. Along with the job, it will take time to prepare for IAS. You can take the help of a coaching institute/ experienced person for preparation along with the regular self-study of 3-4 hr for 1-2 year. It is about time management as many IIM passes out have cracked IAS along with job.

Hello Dear, Recruitment for IAS and other all India Services is done through UPSC civil service examination. For UPSC you need to be a graduate in any streams from UGC recognised institutions. Mathematics is not an issue. I hope you got the hint.
