The IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. The IPS service is divided into various functional departments such as Crime Branch, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Home Guards, Traffic Bureau. In order to be eligible for the exam, one has to be a graduate in any stream from a recognized University and should be an Indian citizen. Other eligibility criteria includes:
1. Age: Minimum age 21 years, Maximum age 30 years as on 1st of August in the year of examination.

Hi Rakshatha!. The IAS Exam is conducted by UPSC for selecting the aspirants for 24 major posts in India. The exam is organized every year in two stages, I.e. Civil Services Preliminary and Mains Exams. The Preliminary exam consists of multiple choice question which determines a candidate's General Studies and Aptitude. No need to go for MCA because you will be wasting your time, start preparing for IAS. Even if you are not able to get through IAS. You will be able to get a job on the basis of BCA if you have good technical knowledge and you can always pursue MCA correspondence along with your job.

Hi Rakshatha,
You can appear for the IAS exam only after completing your graduation from a recognised university. Right now, you are not eligible for the exam. Also, a candidate should be minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years old as on August 01, 2017.

A candidate interested in giving IAS exam needs to have the following qualifications: 1. Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree from any of the recognised universities. 2. Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results or those who are yet to appear for the qualifying examination are also eligible for the Preliminary Examination. Such candidates have to produce proof of passing the said examination along with the application for the Main Examination. 3. Hi Laasya,
For the post of IAS officers, there is no height and weight requirements. Only for IPS/IFS, there are certain physical requirements.
To become an IAS, one should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university and yes a good performance in the UPSC exam.
So, she is eligible for the post of IAS officer.

Hello, to appear for civil service examination, you need a graduation certificate. You have not specified which stream you belong to, please do that. You can always refer books to study such examination. Also, there are few tutors who guides the students on YouTube.
