But, the salary will be lesser, but perks will be very high. If you have social empathy and will to contribute to society, then IAS is a career for you. MBA from legacy MBA will give you opportunities to have high salary corporate jobs, but poor quality of life. Based on my government and corporate experience, I can say that difference

Following is the process of becoming IAS officer:
(a) You can appear for the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC. Any graduate is eligible to appear for civil services examination. The topper of examination becomes IAS. It is the most competitive exam and requires academic brilliance to become IAS.
(b) You can appear for PSC examination conducted by various State Public Services Commission. Any graduate is eligible to appear for PSC Examination. PSC officers are eligible to become IAS after few years of experience and promotions.
