Not much. For IAS you have to prepare mostly the subjects like history, geography, and about administration (art stream subjects). Science is not much needed.

that u need to join coaching then they will provide u a study material. u should purchased IAS competative book 2016. In this book it contain all question which have most chances to be asked

IAS officers job is very demanding but very satisfying. It is one job where you can contibue into life of citizens directly by participating in public services related policy formulation and it's implementation. Given a choice, I will always prefer IAS over CA job.
