Preparation for Civil Services and CAT examination along with graduation degree is a good statergy but if you fail or score less then min eligibility criteria your all effort will go waste. You are advised to put sufficient attention to your basic degree also.

No, not any subject from B.Sc medicine will help you in IAS exam. As IAS exam is divided into two parts.
1. Pre. Exam
2. Mains
And pre exam is further divided into two general studies and CSAT. In these two sessions whatever you study in B.Sc medicibe wiill not going to help.
But in 2nd exam mains is divided into 7 part. From here 7 parts there is one part in which you have to choose your two subject in which you can score good. Here your B.Sc medicine subjects will help you. You can choose any two in which you are prefect.
May be this can help you.

Hi Preeti, you can choose Arts, Science, Commerce in 12th and be a graduate in any field of your choice. You may also choose an integrated BA/LLB. You must then take the respective entrance exams such as UPSC. Alternatively you can also write the state public service commission examination.

Sorry, you are not eligible to become an IPS officer after passing 12th standard.
Minimum requirements to become an IPS officer is you must have completed Graduation degree.
IPS:- Indian Police Service
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
-&get;Candidate must have passed Graduation degree in any stream.
-&get;Candidate appearing in the final year exam are also eligible.
-&get;Candidate age should be in between 21 to 30 years.
-&get;3 years & 5 year relaxation in upper age limit for obc & st/sc
candidates correspondingly.
