Complete a recognised graduation and apply for Civil Service Examinations. If your aim is only Civil Services, any graduation will do, but being a tough but to crack, but nort impossible, you may think of options too. Yes definitely one can prepare for Civil services after graduating with B.Tech in Computer Science. For IAS examinations you should be a graduate in any field and they are the gone days when students used to take arts for preparing IAS. You should better select a course in which you can perform better. Also select a university which offers quality education as this will be very useful for your examinations. Also if you go with B.Tech CSE than you will have alternate jobs while preparing for the exams.

After graduating from BSc, you need to appear UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Ritik, if you are planning to take the civil services exam, you would be aware that you have to prepare for your mains which requires reading up on not just newspapers but also subject matter. You are expected to know all aspects of the subject that you are selecting as a main. This requires intense course book study. News papers will definitely give you an edge with respect to latest developments, also read the OP-ed pages for what experts are saying and different issues regarding the industry/subject.

Hello shivanshu, you can pick any graduation course by practicing for UPSC at home. Still if you want a course to help you with the preparation of UPSC, you can choose among BA-LLB, economics, political science, sociology etc. Read newspaper daily and stay updated with current affairs. Good luck

You have to appear in UPSC Civil Services Examination. After getting selected, you will be trained at LBSNAA. Then you will be posted as Sub Collector then Collector.
Alternatively You can appear State Civil Services Examination. But the process is lengthy here.
