You can choose to study BA ( not necessarily) if you plan to appear for IAS. It is more important to choose the correct combination in alignment with your optional subject for the IAS exam. Studying subjects like History, Geography and any one language ( English would be more beneficial) would make IAS preparation more easy and impactful. You can join any coaching along with your graduation for 3-4 years. It will enhance your preparation. You can also take online coaching. Continuous and regular preparation of 3-4 years is enough to crack IAS. Best wishes.

Chemistry if you're more interested in academics or teaching, you can go for various entrance exams such as IIT JAM CSIR NET etc., you can become an assistant professor, you can also teach in a school for that you need to have B.Ed and

There is no such pre-defined subject combination for B.A. Which can be said best for IAS. But, if you have History, Geography, Economics, English, Public Administration ( any two or three from these 6 subjects ), it would be more helpful in IAS preparation. For IAS. It is better to have one language subject and anyone or two subjects from History, Geography, and Economics. Best wishes.
