Well, you haven't asked about a specific programme, but since you tagged engineering, So, I will consider you as an Engineering aspirant. There are two points here to be noted:
1) If you have more than 90% aggregate marks in 12th class, then LPU NEST exam will be exempted.
2) If you have less than 90% aggregate marks then you will have to appear in an exam of LPU NEST. Where as eligibility criteria is that candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 12th class and English must be studied as a subject.

The career options after completion of 11th standard are very less. However if you are doing 12th with PCM or PCB, then you can go for further UG studies like B.Tech or MBBS courses, etc. after qualifying the JEE or NEET entrance exams. After 12th PCM, you can apply in following also.
1. NDA
2. Banks
3. Railways
4. Airforce and Navy
5. Police
6. State subordinate services.

The eligibility criteria for KVPY 2020 (a) Stream SA: Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2020-21 and having secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and Science subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination. There is no need to worry if you were weak in maths at class 10. If you have interest in Physics and chemistry the maths is required because whatever you study in higher classes after class 12th there is wide application of maths in both subjects. If you will start studying in maths from class 11th onward then also you canake a strong grip on maths. If you want to purse your future in the field of physics or maths then you should have to take PCM.
