If you are not interested in PCM then you can change your stream in class 12th. You have to speak to school authorities regarding same, else after completing your class 12th, you can go for graduation in the area of your interest.

Figure out your aptitude first. Take a psychometric test to help you out. There is nothing to be worried about since your aptitude and potential may actually lie in somewhere else. Explore your interests and options. You need not study science if it is a stressful subject for you.

Automobile engineering is a branch of Mechanical engineering, where you'll deal mostly with automobile, whereas in Mechanical engineering, you'll deal with all machines and its design and then many more basics. But literally both are same, no big difference. Syllabus of Automobile engineering overlaps with Mechanical engineering between 80 to 90%. Compulsory courses on engineering drawing, workshop, instrumentation, Thermodynamics, Strength of material, theory of machines, heat transfer, Refrigeration etc are common in both Mechanical and Automobile engineering but additional like automotive chassis, engine, dynamics, body engineering
