CLAT Scores

The selection process for LL.M programs typically involves taking the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam. The minimum CLAT score required varies depending on the category and the specific LL.M program. For example, to be eligible for the CLAT UG 2024 exam, candidates must score a minimum of 45% for General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI categories, while applicants belonging to the SC/ST categories must achieve a minimum score of 40%. The CLAT 2024 cut-off marks are expected to be lower than previous years due to the reduced number of questions (from 150 to 120) and the introduction of a new pattern. A score of 65-70% (approximately 78-85 marks under the new CLAT pattern) is considered good for the top three NLUs. The exact cut-off marks for each category and NLU will be determined by various factors, including category, seat availability, and the applicants' position on the merit list. The CLAT 2024 cut-off marks will be made public by the Consortium of NLUs in January 2024. To get admission to an LL.M. program, universities generally conduct an entrance exam. The Consortium of NLU's conducts the CLAT exam annually to provide admission to UG and PG programs in various law universities and colleges in India. To be eligible for the CLAT LLM 2024 exam, aspirants should meet the following criteria: Be in the final semester or year of their LLB graduationHave at least 50% marks in the LLB examHave a 5% relaxation of marks if they belong to SC and STThe minimum score required to apply for the CLAT exam is: 45% for General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI categories40% for SC/ST categoriesStudents in the general category usually need to score between 95 and 100 to get a top NLU. Students in the SC/ST category often need to score between 80 and 85. The PG-CLAT 2023 will be 120 minutes long and will have one section. The first section will have 120 objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. 

To get admission in LLB in Maharshi Dayanand University Centre for Professional and allied studies (MDU CPAS) in Gurugram, one must have scored atleast equal to or more than 45 % aggregate marks in class 12th and for differently abled people it should be equal to or more than 42.5% aggregate marks in class 12th from any renowned board. CLAT  score is not included in any criteria to get admission in LLB in this University. So, MDU CPAS does not Accept CLAT score overall, for admission in course of LLB because admission to LLB in this university is directly based upon the marks scored by the student in his or her 12th class. In case of more and more applications the priority should be given to the person who have scored more in class 12th than the student with low score in class 12th.
