The cut-off ranks for admission to National Law Universities (NLUs) vary each year depending on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats in each NLU. Therefore, it's difficult to predict if you will get admission to any NLU based solely on your All India Rank (AIR) in a particular category. However, with an AIR of 4858 in one category, you have a good chance of securing admission to some of the NLUs, particularly the newer ones. It's recommended that you check the cut-off ranks of the NLUs you're interested in to SEE if you meet their eligib

Your AIR rank of 29417 and All India SC rank of 1600 are quite good and you have a decent chance of getting admission in some of the National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. However, your Madhya Pradesh rank of 99 may not be sufficient for admission in NLUs that have a domicile reservation for Madhya Pradesh. Since the cutoffs for admission to different NLUs vary every year based on various factors like the number of seats available, the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, etc. , it is difficult to predict your chances of getting admission in a particular NLU. However, you can use the previous year's cutoffs and y

No, NLU Delhi accepts admission in UG and PG law degree courses only through AILET exam. CLAT scores are used for admissions to the 23 National Law Universities in India except NLU Delhi, as it is the only university that is not a part of Consortium of National Law Universities. Although before formation of Consortium of NLUs, the university (NLUD) actively participated in conduct of CLAT examination and counselling process, however, when the preference was given to other NLUs over it, then in 2012 it was decided that NLUD will not accept CLAT scores for admissions. Hence, AILET was conducted exclusively for admission to undergraduate

Yes, the difficulty level of AILET is usually higher than CLAT as the competition is five times more for the limited seats of B.A. LL.B. And LL. M. courses available at NLU Delhi. Moreover, the exam pattern of AILET is also different than CLAT exam pattern. The cutoff marks are also higher for AILET conducted by NLU Delhi. CLAT cutoff marks vary every year but are moderate as there are 23 participating National Law Universities. Therefore, candidates can assume that AILET is tougher than CLAT exam.

CLAT 2026 is expected to be held in regional language. The Bar Council of India is planning to include vernacular languages as medium of paper in the coming years. Till CLAT exam 2024, it was held in the English language only like in previous years. CLAT 2025 PG Exam is also expected to be conducted in English only.

The CLAT question paper for UG courses had objective-type questions from subjects such as Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning Quantitative Techniques, English and Current Affairs including General Knowledge. The CLAT paper for the LLM. course had both objective questions from law subjects such as Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, etc. Generally, the questions are designed as passage followed by series of questions of one mark each. Candidates had to attempt the questions by reading and interpreting the passages only.
