NLU Ranchi accepts CLAT scores, followed by a round of counselling for admission to the integrated law programme. During the NUSRL CLAT cutoff 2024, the cutoff list was released up to five rounds. The last round closing rank for the BA LLB (Hons) course was 1594. Observing the last three years closing ranks, an inconsistency is observed in closing ranks for the General AI quota. Moreover, the last round cutoff of the same course was 1895 in 2023, while in 2022, the cutoff closed at 1578.

Admission to NLUs is conducted based on CLAT scores only. Marks obtained in 12th exam are not considered for admission. However candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks criteria (45% for OBC/Gen/PWD and 40% for SC/ST)
