CMAT Process

The CMAT is a three hours Computer Based Online Test which is conducted to evaluate the candidates ability across various segments like Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.The CMAT accepting colleges conduct their own admission process individually. Candidates have to fill admission forms of the target colleges individually. The MBA colleges and universities accepting CMAT scores conduct group discussion and Personal Interview to select candidates for admission.It is a higher-level national MBA admission exam than the MAT and ATMA. It allows for advancement to the next level. They offer admission to higher-level MBA/PGDM programs. Many MBA programs in India do not recognize MAT or ATMA scores but do accept scores from other exams

CMAT is an entrance exam accepted by 1000 + colleges in India. Here is the list of mandatory eligibility criteria for admission to college accepting CMAT score for the candidates:•Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any particular subject or field .•Candidate should be in the final year to be eligible to appear for the examination. •Candidate must be a citizen of India. •candidate must for at least 50% marks in the aggregate qualifying examination. •There is no upper limit for the candidates to appear in the CMAT examination. To know more about it, refer to the official website of CMAT or Shiksha.  

CMAT has a multi-step registration/application process, which is completely online. Candidates must follow the steps to successfully register in the CMAT website.STEP 1: Online Registration for CMAT 20241. Open the CMAT-NTA website in a new browser.2. Click on the 'Registration Link for CMAT 2024’.3. The CMAT 2024 registration page will open.4. Enter details like name, date of birth, city, email ID, password and mobile phone number5. Enter the OTP received on mobile number and click on 'Submit'.6. A 12-digit application number will be displayed.STEP 2: Fill the CMAT Application Form1. Enter CMAT application number and password to log in again 2. Enter academic details in the CMAT application form3. Enter other personal details and select test cities4. Candidates willing to appear for CMAT Entrance Examination are advised to follow the following steps: • Open the official website of CMAT Examination. • Fill all the mandatory details like your name, email id and date of birth online to register for CMAT Examination.• You must have recieved an OTP via email, complete your registration process with verifying through the same OTP or email verification.• Browse through the website and find the CMAT application form, fill it with all the required details. • Complete all the details along with the scanned documents and signatures required .• You will be led to payment page, make the payment and wait to receive the sms for successful registration of the candidate along with the application number. To know more about the CMAT Examination, refer to the official website of the examination.  

For admission to MBA/PGDM courses through CMAT score, candidates are required to present the relevant documents that confirm their identity, nationality and academic achievement. Given below is the list of documents that are required to be presented at the time of GD/PI and admission:

3. Photo ID
4. Address proof
5. Birth certificate
6. Graduation degree
7. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
If a candidate is seeking admission in a particular category, then they have to submit a valid Certificate for the category such as:
1. Caste Certificate
2. PWD certificate
3. Category Certificate
Working professionals who are seeking admission to MBA or PGDM course must can present work experience, letter of recommendation, statement of purpose, etc. Issued by their employer organisation. Candidates having work experience are desired by B-schools more than fresh graduates. Some institutes have extra points for work experience in their selection criteria.

CMAT scores calculation is a simple process and it is based on the marking scheme. The raw score calculation in CMAT is the sum total of correct/incorrect entries and unanswered questions. To understand the CMAT score calculation, first understand the marking scheme. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted
For each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted
For each unanswered question, 0 marks will be allotted
CMAT has five sections and all the sections have 20 questions each. Thus, the total marks of CMAT exam is 400. If a candidate has got 70/100 questions correct, 10 questions incorrect and skipped 5 questions, then their total score will be (70x4-10+5x0) 270/400. After the calculation of CMAT raw score of each test takers, they are converted into percentile for result and all India merit list preparation. On the CMAT result cum scorecard, raw score as well as percentile is mentioned.
