After the declaration of CMAT result, colleges accepting the exam score for MBA/PGDM admission will start the selection process. The candidates who shall have passed they CMAT exam will be required to fill the application forms of their target MBA colleges for admission. Aspirants will need to apply on the basis of their score and cut offs fixed by the institute. If a candidate does not meet the minimum CMAT cut off, they should not apply to that college, as their application will be rejected at the first level of screening. The institutes will conduct group discussions and personal interviews to select candidates for final admission.

CMAT cut offs are not released on a particular date. Since, the NTA does not conduct any counselling or selection process on behalf of the CMAT accepting colleges, there is no one date when the cut offs are released. The NTA announces CMAT result and after that the participating institutes release their CMAT cut offs, MBA Admission criteria individually. The cut offs vary for each college and is determined by the admission cell. The NTA has no role in cut off determination. Since CMAT is usually conducted in two shifts, there are chances of the question paper of one shift being slightly tougher or easier in comparison to the question paper of other shift. In order to negate the possibility of any candidate having an advantage or disadvantage due to this, the exam authorities normalise the CMAT scores before percentile calculation. CMAT scores calculation is a simple process and it is based on the marking scheme. The raw score calculation in CMAT is the sum total of correct/incorrect entries and unanswered questions. To understand the CMAT score calculation, first understand the marking scheme. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted

The CMAT scorecard will be available for download at the CMAT-NTA website. Common Management Admission Test results 2025 will be available online only on the Common Management Admission Test official website. No hard copy of the scorecard will be sent to any test taker. Thus, the applicants must ensure they download the scorecard PDF from the Common Management Admission Test website as soon as the result is announced.
