NITTE is situated in Bangalore and so is CMRIT. Both of the colleges offer good placements and have an excellent campus. CSRIT has a better rating than NITTE but the latter is an autonomous institution which gives it an advantage. Hence, NITTE is definitely as good as CMRIT.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For COMEDK Round 2 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 12554 and closing rank was 16556 for the general category candidates under All India quota.

The cutoff trend for BTech at CMR Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech. under general category for all India quota was 13170. In 2023, it increased to 16236. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 13170 to 16236 for OBC 13170 to 16236 for SC 13170 to 16236 for ST 13170 to 16236 for EWS 13170 to 16236 for PWD. CMR Institute of Technology COMEDK Round 2 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 11581 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in CMR Institute of Technology.

CMR Institute of Technology accepts COMEDK scores, followed by a counselling round for admission to the BE course. The Round 1 of the Seat Allotment Result has been released for General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For COMEDK Round 2 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 12554 and closing rank was 16556 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in CMR Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the COMEDK entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
