CMR University Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Ph.D. programme at the School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University, generally require applicants to have a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as Economics, Commerce, or Management, from a recognised university, with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade). While there may not be a strict age limit, candidates should check for any specific age-related criteria set by the university. 

The eligibility criteria for the B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) programme offered by the School of Economics and Commerce at CMR University typically require candidates to have completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, such as CBSE, ISC, or a state board. Applicants are generally expected to have secured a minimum of 45-50% in their 10+2 exams, though this can vary depending on the specific programme or specialization. While students from a Commerce background, having studied subjects like Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, or Mathematics, are preferred, those from Science or Arts streams may also be considered if they meet the required marks in relevant subjects. There may not be a strict upper age limit for admission, but specific age requirements could vary. 

CMR University provides sports scholarship to candidates pursuing a course from School of Engineering and Technology. Aspirants get a maximum waiver of 70% under this scholarship. Admission to MCA course is based on Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT score. Additionally, candidates must pass any degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for MCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, the shortlisted candidates are called for verification of the documents and counselling round. Aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The Management Quota fee for MCA course is INR 3.60 lakh. The fee is the total of annual fee paid by the candidates every year. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. 

Admission to BCom course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Besides,  Aspirants must pass PUC/ Class 12 or equivalent exam with at least 50% aggregate to apply for BCom course. After completion of the selection rounds, the shortlisted candidates are called for verification of the documents and counselling round. Aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The Management Quota fee for BCom course ranges between INR 3 Lacs and INR 3.75 lakh. The fee is the total of annual fee paid by the candidates every year. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats.
