College of Biotechnology, DUVASU offers merit scholarships to students pursuing a course. One scholarship of INR 1,000 per month is awarded to MVSc student in each department based on their merit. Additionally, all the students seeking admission via ICAR common entrance test are eligible for National Talent Scholarship of ICAR at INR 5,000 per month provided they are from state other than Uttar Pradesh.

As per the eligibility criteria of College of Biotechnology, DUVASU, candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses. The minimum aggregate specified is 50%. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 can get admission provided they also qualify the accepted entrance exam. Besides, there is relaxation in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates.

The university conducts Undergraduate Entrance Examination for a duration of three hours comprising 200 questions. Post Graduate Entrance Examination is a two hour test comprising 200 multiple-choice questions. The syllabus for UGEE is as that of Intermediate of Uttar Pradesh Board/ CBSE or equivalent.
