Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry,  Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually with at least 50% aggregate taken together to apply for Manipal College of Dental Sciences Manipal BDS programme. Candidates must also qualify NEET to get admission in BDS. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

In order to be eligible for the course, the student must attain a minimum of 50% in the 10+2 qualifying examination. Candidates have to pass a recognised Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

Manipal College of Dental Sciences eligibiltiy criteria for taking admission in BDS is as follows:Students with 50% marks in Class 10 and Class 12 or an equivalent course who cleared the NEET-UG cut-off meet the eligibility criteria for this course. Only NEET-UG exam scores are accepted for admission; a candidate must secure a score equal to or more than the NEET cutoff. Generally, the NEET cut-off varies each year, although for BDS, the NEET cutoffs for general and reserved categories are 720-137 and 136-107 respectively. Also, the total tuition fee for BDS is approximately 14.8L.
