The admission process of College of Engineering, Anna University is:The candidates firstly have to give the entrance exam which is called Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Exam (TNEA). After that you have to apply for the state counselling.Based on the merit list the seat will be allotted to the candidates.

As of 27th August 2023, the online counselling and the rank list for CEG, Anna University are out. One needs to pass the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) test to apply for the university and its courses such as (B.Tech, B.E).The M.B.A and M.C.A couselling is currently going on. Yes you can if you can clear the TNEA  (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions), the test will be held at Anna University. Candidates can use this to apply for admission to a range of UG engineering programs, including degree programs leading to the B.E./B.Tech.

According to the placement report of the Anna University about 140+ companies visited the campus and offered the impressive offers to the students.Some of the Giants companies that visited the campus are Cisco, DE Shaw, Ola, Samsung, Tiger Analytics, Reliance, Google, TVS, HCL, Axis Bank, Accenture, Adobe, Barclays, Capegemini, Citicorp Services India, IBM India, Infosys, L&T, Infotech Ltd, Oracle, Walmart, Zippin, etc.

According to the placement report of Anna University 2022, a total of about 1700+ offers were made and about 142+ companies visited the University. The placement here is quite good and impressive. Many Giant companies visit the campus for the placement of the student. The highest package offered to the students were INR 36.5 Lacs Per Annum and the average package offered was INR 6.93 Lacs Per Annum. It's placement is better than other than other expensive colleges like SRM, VIT, Manipal.
