There is a separate admission procedure for students from states other than Tamil Nadu(TN).
Selection is mainly through single window counselling system based on your high school. They see your PCM aggregate marks. Based on merit and as per first come first serve basis they can choose their preferred course from the available time/slot of counselling.

Hello Pradeep,
Admissions to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are primarily reserved for those having "nativity". However I am sure if seats remain vacant then Management's of the private colleges will force government to allow admissions to out of state students also. You can get B.Tech IT in private colleges. The minimum eligibility criteria for many private colleges is 50% and 45% for reserved categories. So you can apply in private colleges. Hope this helps you.

Hi Nivetha, congratulations for getting 80% in 12th and yes you can get B.tTech food technology but I would tell you to hurry up in it as B.Tech whichever branch students are lined up for admissions so you have to act up fast for admissions.
