To be eligible for admission to a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) program, you must meet the following criteria:Class 12: You must have passed 10+2 with a Science stream background, typically with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. Minimum score: You must have a minimum aggregate score of 50% in these subjects. I do not believe that College of Occupational Therapy is the best in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu is home to several reputed colleges offering Occupational Therapy programs, each with unique strengths. Institutions like Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, are renowned for their excellent education and clinical training. Similarly, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai, is known for its advanced curriculum and hospital collaborations. SRM Institute of Science and Technology and Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, both in Chennai, provide modern infrastructure and research-oriented learning environments. Additionally, Madras Medical College (MMC), one of the oldest institutions, offers strong clinical exposure. While all these colleges have distinct advantages, the best choice depends on factors such as accreditation, faculty expertise, clinical training opportunities, and personal preferences.

The strong academic foundation, relevantly experienced faculty, and a comprehensive curriculum make the College of Occupational Therapy a good option for pursuing a Master of Occupational Therapy. The college also usually offers specialised programs in different streams of occupational therapy, namely pediatric, neurological, or musculoskeletal therapy, where there are many more opportunities for hands-on clinical training and research. It usually also has good infrastructures, access to clinical placements, and internships for professional training. However, it should first pass accreditation checks, the qualifications of faculty members, and the records of placements to ascertain whether it meets one's specific career goals.
