No. Applying for each college for admissions based on TANCET is not required. The Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, conducts the centralised counselling process for admission into TANCET colleges offering MBA and MCA courses. Candidates need to register for the Tamil Nadu MBA counselling on the online counselling portal as per the schedule. Subsequently, candidates will have to upload the relevant documents to get shortlisted for the TANCET rank allotment. Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, only considers TANCET percentile score. TANCET actual score is calculated by allotting 1 mark each for the correct response and deducting 1/3 mark for each incorrect response. The actual score can be converted into a percentile score after evaluating the total test takers with an actual score that is less than a particular test taker.
