Yes, GNLU can be considered as a good university for placements. The the highest and median package offered during GNLU placements 2024 stood at INR 19.8 LPA and INR 16 LPA, respectively. Around 68% students were placed in the Law Firms followed by Litigations, Corporate Houses and Government Undertakings wherein 13%, 11% and 3% students were placed, respectively during GNLU placements 2024. Apart from this, the placement rate recorded during UG 5-year placements 2023 was 100%.

No, you cannot get direct admission at GNLU. Admission at GNLU is based on entrance exams. Candidates seeking admission to BA/ BCom/ BSc/ BSW/ BBA-LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes need to apply for the CLAT Exam. The consortium of National Law Universities conducts the Common Law Admission Test  (CLAT) to shortlist candidates for UG and PG law programmes. Additionally, students looking forward to practice law in India must clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) conducted by BCI.

The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in Gandhinagar offers various UG and PG programs in the stream of Law. BA LLB (Hons) is one of the flagship courses at GNLU. Yes, there is a placement cell at Gujarat National Law University that provides placement assistance to the students. GNLU Committee on Recruitment Affairs (CRA) is the main body responsible for managing and conducting the campus placements and internships. GNLU CRA also organises alumni lectures and seminars to allow students to have an interaction with industry experts. Additionally, the GNLU placement cell also guides students through the placement process, including mock interviews and moot court practice.

Candidates willing to enrol in the MBA programme at IIM Ahmedabad must take the CAT exam and score a minimum percentile of 90. In addition to CAT scores, the admissions process also includes a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI). Applicants are required to meet both the overall CAT cutoff percentile and the sectional cutoffs. The Institute does not publicly disclose the CAT cutoffs. The cutoffs are only available through an account login for candidates who have taken the exam.
