The admission process of Mizoram University for all courses is entranced-based. Mizoram University, Aizawl accepts the scores/ ranks of its in-house or various national/ state-level or its in-entrance exams such as CUET UG,  JEE Main,  NATA,  CAT, etc., for courses such as BA, BSc, BTech, BArch, MTech, and MBA, respectively. For the final selection, candidates need to clear the entrance exam and appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds conducted by the university.

A  rank between 160,000 and 165,000 may be relatively high for admission to B.Tech programs at Mizoram University. The university typically sets cutoff ranks based on the performance of applicants in entrance examinations like JEE Main or Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination (MZUEEE), as well as other eligibility criteria. To obtain accurate and specific information about admission eligibility and cutoff ranks for the upcoming academic year, I recommend checking the official website of Mizoram University or contacting their admission office directly.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electrical Engineering was 338365. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Mizoram University.

Admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main score. The cutoff percentile for admission varies each year and is determined by several factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats.
While a 90.4 percentile is a good score, it may not guarantee admission to the top-ranked NITs for general category candidates, especially for popular branches such as Computer Science, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. The cutoff percentile for admission can vary depending on the NIT and the specific branch.

Admission is purely done on a merit basis which is based on the marks of 10+2, the Aizawl Hindi B.Ed. College does not have a good website so the details are not at all clearly given in the website. But according to some reports given, the admission maybe on the basis of marks on 10+2. The application form for applying online will be released and applicants should have to fill the form in the website where students will be selected on the basis of twelfth marks. Best of luck.

Your JEE Main rank is not enough for getting NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Please seek admission in other Engineering colleges near you.
