There is a very less chance of getting NIT, because you have just cleared your cutoff OBC, but your aggregate class 12% is less than 75, so there are less chances.

Hi Manoj,
You will be not able to get an nit with the score of 72.6 percentile. I will suggest to apply for some other good private colleges like Amity University, Sharda University, Lovely Professional University, state private colleges of West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, etc. at the time of counselling.

It could be better as you will get some good facilities and more opportunities due to the fact that you are in a government college. If you are concerned with your studies then it could be better than the state colleges. You will definitely get problems regarding infrastructure. But then you have to choose according to your priorities.
