The course wise placements at North Eastern Regional Institute of Management is good and they are as follows : In B Ed it is about 75% placement rate.In BA the placement rate is about 68%.In LLB the placement rate is about 80%.

To be eligible, they must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in their graduation. Additionally, they must present the relevant documents to prove their eligibility at the time of admission. The university offers placements support to the students. As per the overall report 2024, The the highest package offered was INR 205 LPA. In addition to this,  102 students received packages of INR 50 LPA. However, the the highest stipend offered during IIT Guwahati internships 2023 was INR 1.60 LPA. Moreover, the average package offered to MBA students stood at INR 10.08 LPA.

A total of 16 seats are available in IIT Guwahati for its MBA course. Candidates need to qualify the accepted entrance exams to get a seat in IITG MBA.
