Actually, getting into UNSW for international students who want to pursue a degree isn't that difficult. To prevent having to retake your class, you must maintain your GPA (or WAM) and avoid failing. IELTS with an overall score of 8 is also required. Times Higher Education has ranked the University of South Wales as 1001 in the World University Rankings, with an overall score of 4.3 stars, based on student reviews on Studyportals, the best place to find out how students rate their learning and living experiences at universities all over the world.

The acceptance rate for UNSW is 60% although it might vary to different courses.In the QS World University Rankings (2023), UNSW Sydney is ranked 45th. This research institution was placed 70th in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2023). The low acceptance rate is most likely due to the University of New South Wales' outstanding academic rankings and distinguished academic programmes.
