According to the facts stated on the official website of Wollongong University, it is a public university that has been established by the New South Wales law through the University of Wollongong Act 1989. However, its history traces back to 1951 when a Division of the then New South Wales University of Technology was founded in Wollongong. Ten years later, this Division became the Wollongong College of the University of New South Wales. Finally, in 1975, the University of Wollongong was incorporated by the Parliament of New South Wales as an independent institute.

James Cook University - Brisbane is located in the city of Brisbane, Australia. The university has three campuses located in Cairnes and Townsville of Australia and Singapore. The campus at Townsville is the main campus. The Townsville campus also has three affiliated colleges: Saints Catholic College, Saints Marks College, and The John Flynn College. JCU is a public university from North Queensland, Australia, it became an independent university in 1970.

James Cook University, Brisbane has three campuses located in Cairnes and Townsville of Australia and Singapore. The campus at Townsville is the main campus the largest as well. The Townsville campus also has three affiliated colleges: Saints Catholic College, Saints Marks College, and The John Flynn College. The Cairnes campus has 4,000 students, out of the total university student population. The Singapore campus was established in 2003.
