Patna University admission to the MBA programme is based on national-level entrance exam such as MAT and CMAT. Shortlisted candidates are further called for group discussion and personal interview round for MBA admission. Patna University offers two-year MBA programme spread across four semesters. Candidates who have passed bachelor's degree are eligible to apply for MBA course. Selected candidates are required to pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Yes, candidates with 60% aggregate in Class 12 can easily get admission in Patna University provided they fulfil the selection requirements. Such aspirants can apply for any of the UG courses. For UG courses, candidates are required to qualify Patna University Common Entrance Exam along with fulfiling the eligibility criteria. The entrance exam is conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper test. The state-level entrance exam duration of PUCET is for two hours.

Patna University has a Directorate of Distance Education to offer UG and PG courses in distance education mode. If you wish to pursue BA, BCom (Hons), BCA, BLIS, PG Diploma in Journalism, PG Diploma in Financial Management, PG Diploma in Marketing Management and PG Diploma in Operations Management, you can go for distance education.The course of study, duration of the course the examination and the degree of BA, BCom (Hons), etc. are the same as those of the students of the regular Colleges of Patna University. In distance education mode, candidates will not need to come for classes offline.

For getting into Patna University, candidates will need to first apply for the course of their choice. For most of the courses, admission is through Patna University Common Entrance Test (PUCET). The difficulty level of the entrance exam is medium. Aspirants need to go through their Class 11 and Class 12 textbooks for UG courses. For PG programmes, candidates must be well through their bachelor's degree syllabus. For B.Ed, the university conducts BEET. Any candidate who meets the eligibility criteria and performs decent in the entrance exam can easily get into the university.
