Once the results of the class 12 exams are out a merit list is released by the university for admissions. No, it is not tough to get into the BSc programme at Patna University, as the admission is through the merit secured in Class 12 exams. In addition to that Patna University has multiple affiliated colleges that provide admission in the BSc programme. Therefore, candidates taking admission into the university or any affiliated college will be eligible for admission if they have secure atleast 45% in their Class 12.

The median package for UG (3-year) courses stood at INR 3.50 LPA. Therefore, a decent student can have a net positive return on investment at the university given the tuition fees of the BA programme is INR 31,500.
