The application form for NIELIT Ranchi is rolled out a few days before the start of an academic year. Students seeking admission must meet the eligibility criteria for the course of their choice and apply by filling the application form online. The application for this year began on 11th of September and closed on 13th September. Students were then expected to report at the institute on 15th September. The fee for the application form is Rs. 295. The university rolls out a google form link as the application form. Post filling the form, students are expected to submit the duly filled application form at the NIELIT Ranchi campus on due date.

The authority released the NIELIT 2024 January cycle admit card for O/A/B/C level at student.nielit.gov.in. The NIELIT 2024 January cycle exam was started from January 13 to 20, 2024. A timetable containing details including dates of examination, examination timing or session, sequence of papers, and instructions to candidates is also published along with the admit cards. It is recommended for the candidates to verify all the details. It is also important for a candidate to report to the relevant examination centres along with the printout of the admit card. They will be allowed to appear in the examination after verification of their identity, for which a necessary arrangement exists at each examination centre.
