Yes, the technology institute offers MSc in Physics as a full-time course. Admission to the course is through IIT JAM followed by CCMN counselling. The seat intake for the course is 25. Candidates with a BSc or equivalent UG degree with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST/PWD category) are eligible to apply for an MSc course of NIT Calicut. The aspirants must hold the UG mark sheets and pass certificates as proof of eligibility. The institute admits candidates only after document verification.

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories) is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Furthermore, all the documents such as bachelor’s degree, mark sheets, etc. are required at the time of admission for verification purposes.

In 2022, the seat allotment for NIT Calicut BTech courses went till CSAB special round-2 and the closing ranks ranged between 11,049 - 54,460.

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the most popular BTech specialisations. In 2022 placements at NIT Calicut, a 100% placement was recorded for the CSE branch. As per the NIRF 2022 rankings, the institute is was ranked 31 among the top Engineering institutions in the country. Thus, it is a good college for BTech CSE aspirants.

The cutoff marks vary from one course to another. For BTech, the closing rank in 2022 ranges from 11,049 to 54,460. No, NIT Calicut does not facilitate direct admission to any of the courses. Admission is entirely based on merit in the national-level exams, including JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM, CAT, NIMCET, UGC NET, etc. Candidates are further required to participate in other selection rounds, such as counselling, written exam, and interview as well, as per the applied course selection criteria.
