The campus of the National Institute of Technology Calicut is located in Calicut (Kozhikode) city. NIT Calicut covers an area of around 120 hectares. NIT Calicut comes under the top 3 NITs in India. The institute has a central library and a digital library. The Central Library of NIT Calicut is one of the best technical libraries in South India. It has a very good collection of more than 1.33 lakh technical and scientific books. The Central Computer Centre (CCC) is another central facility of the Institute that caters to the computing requirements of the campus community. The students live in hostels on campus. There are 13 hostels on the campus, out of which 10 are for boys and 3 for girls. The students also have access to a 25-station gymnasium, playfields for football, cricket, and hockey, a cricket net practice zone and pitch, etc., and a swimming pool. There is also an exclusive fitness centre attached to the ladies’ hostel, which has a gymnasium, badminton court, and table tennis room.
