At LPU, eligibility for admission to the LL.M. program typically requires candidates to have completed a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent. For a BCom course at CGC Landran (Chandigarh Group of Colleges), pretty much admission is on the grounds of merit. Direct admissions do not usually happen, save for special cases, like management quota admissions or special considerations. For the majority of students, admission is purely on the basis of merit against the 10+2 marks, and selection takes place according to the merit list prepared by the college.

Yes, generally, admission into the B.A. Hons. Mathematics programme at Punjab University is merit-based. The marks scored in the qualifying examination, which is Class 12, are considered by the university for merit-based admission. Applicants need to qualify for the Class 12 exam with a valid stream, that is, either Science or Commerce, and the percentage required in the subject as well. Punjab University may also carry out a counseling process or publish a merit list according to the marks of the candidates. It is recommended to visit the official website for updates on specific admission procedures.

In Chandigarh, most colleges seldom admit directly to the 6th semester to complete a Diploma in engineering. Still, some institutions will provide lateral entry admission for the holders of the Diploma for the 2nd year (3rd semester) of a B.Tech program, keeping your engineering studies going.
