According to media reports, the highest and average package offered during Panjab University UIET (BTech and MTech) placements 2023 stood at INR 45 LPA and INR 8.89 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 383 offers were made during PU UIET placements 2023. The top recruiters during Panjab University placements 2023 included leading companies such as Amazon, Dabur and American Express. The university was also ranked in the top 25 under the University category by NIRF 2023. The total tuition fee for BTech ranges between INR 99,710 and INR 6.19 Lakh. This fee, however, is sourced from an unofficial source. Hence, is indicative. Other than the course fee, students are required to pay the registration fee for JEE Main, JAC Chandigarh, PU LEET or PU MEET depending on their admission process. Chandigarh University admissions 2023 to various UG and PG courses is based on CUCET scores. CUCET stands for Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test. No, it is not possible to get into Panjab University's PhD programme without writing any entrance test. However, the university does provide exemptions on the basis of the following:Candidates who have already cleared any of the national tests, such as UGC-CSIR NET including JRF, SLET, GATEAny prestigious test of national-level scholarship/ fellowship conducted at all India levels on behalf of the national institution (s), for example, GPAT, and JESTDirect awardees of fellowship for pursuing PhDThose working as permanent teachers at Panjab University and affiliated colleges are also exempted from the entrance test.

Panjab University admits students for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) through an entrance test conducted at the university level. However, there is an exemption from the entrance test for candidates who have already cleared any of the national tests, such as UGC-CSIR NET including JRF, SLET, GATE, or any other prestigious test of national-level scholarship/ fellowship conducted at all India levels on behalf of the national institution (s), for example, GPAT, and JEST. As per the internet, BA at PU is offered across Economics, History, Sociology and Psychology specialisation, among others. However, students must select the specialisation on the basis of their interest and past academic background and not on the basis of its popularity. While all these specialisations are offered at PU-affiliated colleges, students can pursue BA (Hons) and BA (Hons) in Economics courses from the main campus of Panjab University. Check out all BA specialisations at PUCHD here.

Candidates seeking BA or BA (Hons) course admission at Panjab University must have an aggregate of up to 60% in Class 12. This requirement is the minimum aggregate that is needed to pursue BA (Hons) in Economics or BA (Hons) from the campus of PU. However, for other PU-affiliated colleges offering numerous other specialisations, the requirement might also vary. The last date for UG application at Panjab University 26 June which started on June 2. Candidates selected after all the course-specific selection rounds are required to confirm their admission by paying the admission fee between July 21 and Aug 7. This is as per the official handbook of admission released by Panjab University for the academic year 2023. However, students are advised to reach out to the admission office of Panjab University and stay tuned to this page for all upcoming changes in the schedule.
