The admission process for MIT Chennai differs with the programme you are applying for. For B.Tech programs, admission is through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions), where candidates are selected based on their Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There is no requirement for JEE scores for B.Tech admissions. For M.Tech programmes, candidates should have BTech with 50% marks in relevant fields. TANCET is compulsorily conducted, and they must also have valid GATE score for the said programmes.

Yes, though MIT Chennai does have entrance exams, for some of the other programs. But for admissions to the B.Tech. program, the scores aren't considered for JEE. Admission through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) considering Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission to M.Tech requires TANCET or valid GATE score, respectively.

No, Madras Institute of Technology does not accept undergraduate admissions via JEE. The selection for the BTech programmes is based purely on the Class 12 marks of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the TNEA, or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. In case you possess a valid JEE Main score, then you can use the same to apply via the All India Quota. You do not require JEE for getting into MIT, as the major selection at the institute takes place based on TNEA.

To get a seat in Madras Institute of Technology the aspiring candidates must first meet the eligibility criteria for the chosen program. For undergraduate BTech programmes, they need to apply through TNEA, with admission based on your Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For postgraduate admissions, they must have a valid TANCET or GATE score, and then counseling will be taken into consideration. For research programs like PhD they have to submit a research proposal, attend an entrance test and interview, and regularly check the MIT website for updates about application processes and deadlines.
