Students can monitor Shiksha and the college website for any updates on the dates and application forms. 40 undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate courses in the fields of engineering and technology, management, law, fashion design, arts, education, sciences, business studies, library science, and physical education are available at Mahaveer Academy of Technology and Science University (MATS University), which is divided into 12 schools. All courses have an online application process, and admission is determined by both entrance exam scores and merit.

HNLU Raipur accepts the scores of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admission to BA LLB (Hons) programme. CLAT is a national level entrance exam for law courses, conducted by the 18 participating law schools in rotation. The test consists of objective type questions and carries a maximum of 200 marks. The candidates who wish to apply for HNLU Raipur must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) and must appear for CLAT. The admission is based on applicant's rank in CLAT, and the availability of seats under various categories.
