The study materials are provided to the students in the form of CDs and online notes for hassle-free use of course materials. The course is prepared in the format prescribed by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) viz., SIM. If any student has a query, they can contact the School of Distance Education between 9:45 am and 5:30 pm on all working days (Monday- Saturday).

Spot admission is done for all courses in the office of the School of Distance Education at Bharathiar University campus and other centres. For spot admission, candidates are required to submit their duly filled in application form along with all relevant certificates in original, their photocopies, Bank Challan or Demand Draft for the course fee in full or first installment. The candidates also need to hand over the original certificates and documents to the authorities to complete the admission process.

Selection to the PG courses in this university is based on the qualifying scores obtained by students in their UG degree. 

This university's School of  Distance Education offers MBA across 21 specialisations which include Marketing Management, Logistics and SCM, Human Resource Management, International Business, Project Management, Retail Management, among others. 

According to the official website, the fee for all BBA specialisations range from Rs 10,500 to19,000. 

MSc programme consists of 16 specialisations which include Applied Psychology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Visual communications, among others. 

Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or Diploma from a recognised board/ university are eligible for any UG/Diploma courses and those who have completed their graduation from a recognised university are eligible to apply to any PG/PG Diploma courses offered by SDE.

Selection to MBA is done on the basis of merit obtained in MAT (Management Aptitude Test)Candidates applying for the 2-year MBA full-time course need to have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised universityFinal selection for all courses offered by PSG Institute of Management is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.Work experience is highly recommended for the MBA Part-time and PGDM course.

The minimum cutoff for PSG Institute of Management MAT 2023 is 600 for general category.PSGIM always look for people who have MAT scores of 550 or above. So you will not be given the course which you opt for if you appear for the interview during the March cycle.Even though you score less in entrance prepare well for Group discussion and Personal interview where there is high chance to opt in PSGIM.
