Students studying at UPES Dehradun must maintain 75% attendance in the entire semester in all subjects and cumulative. All students must meet this criteria to proceed with examinations. However, as per the information available on different web sources, students cannot exceed a limit of 25% of leaves even in the case of any personal affairs.

As per the information collated from student reviews, UPES Dehradun has limited hostel facility. The campus cannot accommodate all students. However, there are a multiple private hostels available outside the main campus. Students can choose from them as an alternative option.

DIT University was established in 1998 and is located in Dehradun. It is a private university and is approved by UGC, Nepal Engineering Council, and AICTE and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the International Association of Universities.
