Hi Angel, Yes, a degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is valid for appearing in the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). IGNOU is a recognised university, and its degrees are considered equivalent to those from other approved institutions. To be eligible for the UGC NET, candidates must have a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognised university.Hope this information helps. This exam is for the recruitment of nursing officers at various AIIMS institutions, and both male and female candidates can apply.However, for the B.Sc. (Hons.)
