Admission to B.E. / B.Tech courses is open in Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology, SDMCET. The basic admission is done through KCET / COMEDK entrance, while the rest seats are there in management quota.The aggregate of at least 45% must have been obtained in the candidates' 10+2 in relevant subjects. Online application forms are released by the competent authority along with required documents.

Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology, basically SDMCET, is one of the strong institutions with good accreditation and recognition from AICTE and NBA. The institute has good placement statistics: leading companies like Bosch and TCS are visiting the campus and paying decent salaries, with a the highest of INR 40 LPA. Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology is also big in terms of the highest package, with more than 950+ placements and 300+ companies visiting the campus yearly. While the college does not specify which package is the highest, the institution has placed students into some of the best recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Wipro The placement statistics of the college are quite good: around 80 per cent of students got placed and an average salary package of around INR 5 Lacs per annum. Not a bad record from one that figures among India's top 50 private engineering colleges.

No bar exists on admission through management quota over KCET/COMEDK. The candidate must have 45% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology.
