I'm currently in 2nd year of Civil Engineering in R.C Patel Institute of Technology COE. From my 2 years of experience I would tell that it's a good college. Faculties are good. In first year we had some young faculties who were not that experienced. But for core subjects of civil engineering which we study in 2nd year , we have experienced faculties who have over 10+ years of experience.
And yes, lectures happen regularly. ( Bad news huh.? ) And you go to defaulters list if you don't attend enough lectures. What has to be done with students of defaulters list is decided by respective faculty. Mostly they will give you assignment to solve.

Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
The College library is well-equipped with the latest computers and technology. The records are maintained on computers and most data are available in softcopy form. Since the university has introduced an online question paper delivery system, the office is computerized fully. All the books in the library are maintained on the computer with the latest software installed on it. Most things are done online, hence, the office and administration are computerized. The Library has 12089 books and 42150 Journals.
