The on-campus accommodation offers the infrastructure necessary for a balanced, practical life as well as complete professional training and personal fulfillment. There are two hostels (Diamond and Emerald) for boys and two hostels (Ruby and Pearl) for girls accommodating 635 boys and 240 girls. All the hostels are provided with well furnished and ventilated rooms with necessary amenities for students. These include indoor games, reading rooms, audio, video facilities and telecom services. Visiting doctors take care of the health problems of the inmates. The hostel is meant to be a home away from home for students. The inmates of the hostel are expected to be mutually friendly and co-operative with their fellow students. The hostel mess provides vegetarian food to the inmates and is running by dividing System. Mess bill for the last month to be paid before 30th of every month in cash or by DD. Hostellers are eligible for a reduction in the mess bill provided that they apply for reduction well in advance. Student representatives from each class will be nominated to look after the maintenance of the mess. Meetings with student representatives will be held periodically. Passing the qualifying examination or changing the religion after the last date of submission ofthe online application shall not be considered.3.1 Nativityi) Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Naduare eligible to apply. They need not produce a Nativity Certificate for verification.ii) Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. or their equivalentexamination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce NativityCertificate only in electronic form/digitally signed e-certificate at the time of originalcertificates verification at the TNEA Facilitation Centre (TFC).iii) Children of Central Government Employees may also apply for admission, irrespective of their native,provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Naducontinuously for the past FIVE YEARS at the time of submission of application. A certificate from the employer stating that the person is aPermanent Employee of the Firm or Institution concerned with evidence like Income Tax return, PFSlips, etc. and have been working in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past FIVE YEARS have to be produced atthe time of original certificate verification at TFC. v) Sons and daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self-declarationfrom the parent in this regard is to be produced at the time of original certificate verification.vi) Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.They need not produce a “Nativity Certificate”.Note:1.
