SMIT is one of the best colleges and also have the best infrastructure, better than most of the college in Sikkim. It has a huge vicinity and an amazing sports facility. Excellent infrastructure, well-experienced faculty & one of the best learning environments in India. There are 95% placements for all those who wish to sit for it (despite there being many who quit the placement rounds at the last moment to opt for better opportunities [read: off campus]). Yes, SMIT Sikkim has an on-campus hostel facility for students. The hostel has separate blocks for boys and girls, each with a fixed capacity. The rooms are double bedded with attached toilet, comfortably-furnished and make for a good home away from home. Cot, ceiling fans, reading lights, mattress with cover, bed sheet, pillow & pillow covers, bucket & mug are provided free by the institute to first year students.
