Dresden University of Technology's admission requirements for international students include official English exam scores as a major entry requirement. However, TU Dresden does accept country-level qualifications equivalent to IELTS scores and considers the English component of the CBSE and ISC Indian Standard XII examinations to satisfy their English Language Requirements. Therefore, Indian students can study in TUD without ELP scores if they satisfy the criteria listed below:60% overall in the English component of the CBSE or ISC Indian Standard XII examinations (Equivalent to IELTS 6.0)70% overall in the English component of the CBSE or ISC Indian Standard XII examinations (Equivalent to IELTS 6.5)80% overall in the English component of the CBSE or ISC Indian Standard XII examinations (Equivalent to IELTS 7.0) Note: In order to satisfy TU Dresden's English language requirements, any of these qualifications should have been achieved no more than 5 years from the start date of the applicant's course.

Admission to a doctorate at TUM requires a university degree completed with above-average results, an equivalent state exam, or a Master’s examination at a university of Applied Science.Results are considered to be above average if studies got completed with an average grade of 2.5 or at a minimum passed with a grade of ‘good’. In exceptional cases, your above-average qualifications can also be proven via academic work (e.g. publications) completed after your study courseA doctorate from TUM needs very good written and spoken English skills. As such there are no minimum scores required for IELTS / TOEFL, etc. for PhD but applicants must be able to speak fluently with the supervisor about their research area during the application interviewGerman language skills are highly beneficial
