This does not include other estimated expenses like books, supplies, transportation, and miscellaneous costs, which bring the total cost of attendance to $63,444.In contrast, Heidelberg University is described as an "expensive college" costing around $33,000 per year for in-state students. While still pricey for a private university, this is significantly lower than the total cost at Springfield College.

University of Gottingen’s acceptance rate is 17% whereas, the acceptance rate of RWTH Aachen University is 10%. Thus, securing admission to either of the universities is highly competitive and selective. Students seeking admission to either university are also required to meet the English Language Proficiency test scores. The minimum IELTS and TOEFL scores required by Gottingen University are 6.5 band and 95 respectively. The minimum IELTS and TOEFL scores required by RWTH University is 7.0 and 100 respectively. Both University of Gottingen and RWTH Aachen University offer M.A. Program with several courses. These courses are taught in German language itself and IELTS test scores are majorly accepted as part of the English Language Test. There is no tuition fee applied for the program. Those who wish to pursue their education at Gottingen University and wish to seek accommodation are highly advised to find accommodation as early as possible due to limited availability.  Those students who register their main permanent residence in Gottingen also receive the perks from the home match campaign. Robert Oppenheimer famously known as the “father of the atomic bomb” is an alumnus of Gottingen University. He completed his doctorate in Physics from the University of Gottingen Germany in 1927.

While the University does not have any tuition fee that needs to be paid, the students are required to pay the semester fee which comprises administration fees, study body fees, and studentenwerk fee. The total cost of the semester fee for the winter semester 2024-25 is 403.92 Euros (INR 36,799).

Most of the courses that are taught in Gottingen University are in German therefore, it is highly advised by the university that the students learn some German before the commencement of their program to ensure a manageable everyday life and studies.

The University of Gottingen has an acceptance rate of 17% which makes admission to the university highly competitive. The University receives more than 100 admission applications per year of which only 10% make the cut. Hence, to secure admission at Gottingen University the students must meet all the admission requirement criteria.

The University of Gottingen conducts its admissions in two intakes i.e. Winter intake and Summer intake. The Summer intake application deadline is late October. The Winter intake application deadline is late July.
