The University of Gottingen has acquired the rank 252 in 2025. In the previous year, the Gottingen University ranked 232 and in the year 2023, the University secured the rank 215 in the World University Ranking according to the top-ranking publishers.

According to the top-ranking publishers, Gottingen University’s ranking is 252 in 2025 in the World University Ranking. Furthermore, Gottingen University ranked 32 amongst the Western Europe University Ranking in 2025. The Shiksha Study Abroad grading system has also allotted the Gottingen University an overall grade of A.

Gottingen University offers more than 200 programs with two semester intakes i.e. Summer and Winter intakes. The University of Gottingen offers some top courses that the students could opt for. These courses are Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Computer Science, Mathematics, and Cell Biology.

Yes, the University of Gottingen does offer a B.Sc. in Applied Computer Science both as a full-time and part-time course taught in German language. The students pursuing B.Sc. in Applied Computer Science begin with a basic knowledge in Mathematics and Computer Science. Modules and Elective Modules are also taught in the field of core Computer Science. The course also includes internships. At the end of the Bachelor’s program, students are asked to write their Bachelor’s thesis.

Gottingen City is itself a small city and hence even the commute from your residence to the University to the campus cafeteria won’t take much of your time. To enjoy your post-college hours, pubs and bars are very pocket-friendly with the majority of the Gottingen population consisting of students.
