International students who are applying for a bachelor's or master's program must prove their sufficient German language skills if their mother tongue is not German.If they have given German higher education entrance certification or completed an entire study program in German language, will be considered as proof of their German skills. All other international students have to submit proof of German language skills corresponding to a completed level B2(or higher) according to the CEFR.

Hof University of Applied Sciences charges no tuition fee for bachelor’s and master’s courses from international students. However, the Hof University Graduate School tuition fee per semester is EURO 120 (INR 11k) for all programs, and monthly expenses can range between EURO 820 and EURO 1020 (INR 74-92k). (EURO 1= INR 90.20)

Like most of the universities in Bavaria, Germany, the University of Passau does not charge any tuition fee from international students. However, international students will have to pay administrative charges also known as semester fees in German universities. The semester fee charged by German universities is comparatively very less. The University of Passau is a state university and therefore, it is funded by the state government of Bavaria. Therefore, students are not required to pay any tuition fees including international students.

The University of Passau takes admission through uni-assist. Therefore, admission deadlines for Passau University are aligned with uni-assist. Generally, the university takes admission in two intakes; winter and summer semester. The applications for summer semester are over. However, international students can still apply for the winter semester. International students are advised to check the admission deadlines for their programme at the universtiy's website as the admission deadlines may vary.

The University of Passau does not offer any kind of accommodation or housing on campus. International students are supposed to find a place to stay all by themselves. There are many options for international students to stay off campus such as; shared residences, apartments, and dormitories. Generally, universities in Germany do not offer on campus accommodations for students including international students except in some extraordinary cases.
