The Institute of Law, Nirma University follows the seat reservation policy as per th rules of the Government of Gujarat. Out of the total approved intake, 85% of the seats are for the General category. 15% of the total intake is likely to be filled-in under NRI/NRI Sponsored category. Over and above NRI/NRI Sponsored Category, 15% supernumerary seats are reserved for Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Nationals (FN) and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries-South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA) as per UGC Rules.

The total intake for the BCom LLB (Hons) at ILNU Ahmedabad is of 120 students. The seats are filled based on the applicant's performance in CLAT, the entrance exam counducted by the Consortium of NLUs. Beyond the sanctioned intake, 15% of supernumerary seats are reserved for Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Foreign Nationals (FN) and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries-South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA). Gujarat Maritime University provides MBA in different specifications and also has different fees. The fee for MBA in shipping and logistics is about INR 1,62,000 total, an additional INR 12,000 as an addmission fee, and for simple MBA fee is about INR 87,000.

Gujarat Maritime University is not that expensive as compared to the education facilities they provide to their students. The overall fee for an MBA in shipping and logistics is about INR 1,62,000 and an additional INR 12000 as an addmission fee which is affordable.

No, you can't get addmission to the Gujrat Maritime University without taking the CLAT ENTRANCE exam for LLM. CLAT is required to be cleared with a minimum of 75% to get enrolled in the university.

Gujarat Maritime University provide their students with on campus placement. Most of students get their job in the shipping department, logistics department and maintenance department. The median package of students is about 5lakh rs but it make increases according to the student's skills.

According to the ILNU Placement Report 2023-24, the highest package offered across the courses offered at the institute is INR 19.5 LPA. The average salary package is INR 6.58 LPA. During the previous year, over 70 companies and law firms participated in the institute's placement drive. These recruiters included Dhir & Dhir, Deloitte, Bajaj Finserv, Sagus Legal, etc. 82% of the total students were placed during 2023-24.

ILNU is knows to provide good placement opportunities to its students. ILNU alumini are placed in renowed law firms and corportates, such as Pioneer Legal, HDFC Bank, EY, etc. In 2023, the institute recorded a placement rate of 82% across various law courses that it offers. The institute has not released any placement data specifically applying to BCom LLB (Hons) placements. However, as per the institute's the latest NIRF report (2025), the median package offered during UG 5-year placements in 2023 was INR 4.8 LPA. The institute's UG (5-year) courses include BCom LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons).
